Sodexo has been awarded a three-year contract with The Insolvency Service to provide strategic programme and advisory services to support the organisation’s ‘Transforming Workplaces Project’.  Partnering with Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB), global construction and property consultancy, Sodexo’s Property Professional Services business and RLB will support The Insolvency Service to rationalise and transform its existing estate and help deliver the five-year programme of major and minor fitouts, building closures and disposals. Aspire Housing appoints RLB to provide fire consultancy services

Staffordshire-based housing association, Aspire Housing, has appointed independent construction, property and management consultant Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) to provide fire consultancy services for its development schemes covering new build and refurbishment projects. Aspire Housing owns and manages more than 9,000 homes across Staffordshire and Cheshire.  RLB has been appointed on a three-year contract to support Aspire Housing with putting in place best in class fire safety practices and preparing for the ongoing regulations arising from the Building Safety Act. RLB appointed to leading transport operator First Group £150 Million framework

Leading infrastructure, construction and management consultancy, Rider Levett Bucknall UK (RLB UK) has been appointed to key transport operator First Group’s Property Projects Consultancy Framework on its Project Management and Principal Designer lots. The Framework contract, which lasts for two years with a one year option, covers England and Wales and spans all First Group’s existing railway property including more than 400 stations managed across the UK network.  RLB was awarded the framework based on the extensive experience of its team on project managing works and maintenance across the railway infrastructure. This team experience includes projects such as Crossrail, High Speed 2, Midland Metro Alliance, East West Rail, Network Rail Infrastructure Projects, Network Rail platform extension programme and the Manchester Piccadilly station. As well as their reputation within the industry, RLB’s award-winning team is spread across 12 national offices combining global best practice and innovation with local knowledge and complementing the First Group’s regional footprint. WaterAid’s mission is to transform the lives of the poorest and most marginalised people by improving access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene. RLB is proud to have been involved in a project that will bring WaterAid a future direct cost saving and consequently allow more resource to be dedicated to delivering its vision for the future. WaterAid’s office move from Vauxhall to Canary Wharf will not only enable them to achieve value for money over the duration of their tenancy, but will also help them create a globally-connected, inspiring environment where staff, volunteers and partners can work together to achieve their ambitious and exciting mission. The charity sought an office space in a location that would retain existing staff and be accessible to partners and key stakeholders whilst balancing the need of affordability. They are designing the space to meet five key design principles around employee wellbeing, sustainability, flexibility, digital technology and global connection. During the design process, RLB has been offering cost consultancy services and strategic advice with regards to creating this new hub. RLB’s London fit-out team looks to work with a number of not-for-profit partners as part of its corporate and social responsibility strategy and is currently involved in delivering approximately 3.4 million sq ft in the capital city and in line with the firm’s social value ethos. Stamps, who previously worked as a Director at Turner & Townsend, has over 30 years’ worth of experience of commercial leadership in the delivery of major infrastructure projects and frameworks including projects with Scottish Water, Sellafield Ltd, URENCO, Anglian Water, Eon, Severn Trent Water, Network Rail, Highways England, Birmingham Airport and Transport for Greater Manchester. Rider Levett Bucknall Expands and Makes New Appointments

Rider Levett Bucknall, or RLB, the leading independent construction, property and management consultancy company has announced that they will be launching a new dedicated Contract Advisory service. This service will work to deliver specialist advice to RLB’s customers, and covers all aspects of procurement and contract drafting and negotiations as well as dispute avoidance and dispute resolution. The Contract Advisory service will be headed up by Aziz Mehtajee. Aziz joined RLB from Arcadis and has been involved in the launch of this new service. Aziz is known for being an authority on procurement as well as contract advice. He also has more than 25 years of experience from a wide variety of construction projects that have taken place within the public, utilities, infrastructure and private sectors. The Head of Advisory services at RLB, Mark Schumann has said that the independent construction, property and management consultants are delighted to launch this new Contract Advisory Service and that the company’s new offering builds on the work that has been put into this area already, and another example of how the company is able to respond to and assist their customers. Aziz Mehtajee the new Contract Advisory head has said that the changes are a part of a very exciting time for the company and that RLB are already at work on a number of commissions in the UK. One of these commissions is helping the Centre for Environmental Fisheries & Aquaculture Science and Mulbury City with their procurements. RLB has also be instructed on a quantum expert commission that is connected to a dispute on an infrastructure contract.
