Jet Aire Services Has Appointed a New Contract Manager

Jet Aire Services, the Leeds-based drainage and civil engineering contractor, has appointed a new Contract Manager. Mark Walker will coordinate the efficient delivery of projects throughout the UK. Mark had previously worked as Senior Area Agent at Ringway Infrastructure Services, a role that equipped him with outstanding experience in civil engineering operations. He was responsible for producing and maintaining accurate programmes of work, including method statements, risk assessments, Health & Safety plans, communication and company procedures, cost and resource analysis, performance and productivity review, and training. Prior to this role, Mark was a Site Agent responsible for the planning, programming, and resourcing of highway construction schemes valued up to £5 million. As a Contract Manager at Jet Aire Services, Mark will make sure that projects are completed on time and within budget on behalf of clients in a range of key sectors, including chemical, commercial, environmental, industrial, residential, retail, and transport. “We are delighted to welcome Mark to the Jet Aire management team. He has the ideal combination of site experience and comprehensive programme management expertise required for this key position. Jet Aire Services, the Drainage and groundworks contractor has announced that they have recently appointed Gavin McCann as the Business Development Manager for the company. Jet Aire Services offers a wide range of professional drainage solutions. This appointment has taken place with the intention of driving continued growth in the North East region. In his new role as Business Development Manager, Gavin is based at Jet Aire’s Middlesbrough office. Gavin will be an asset to the company in this role as he brings with him a wealth of industry experience including knowledge from working in a range of senior roles for different construction and drainage companies. Mark Lee has experience in the construction and civil engineering areas of the business. More specifically, Mark has expertise in Term Maintenance Contracts. It is this specialist knowledge which make him the perfect candidate for the role of operations manager at Jet Aire Services. In the past, Mark Lee has been involved in the completion of a number of large projects including the Ringway Infrastructure Services, in which he was responsible for a number of different operations across North Yorkshire that had a combined budget of somewhere near £15 million. Mark has also held a similar role previously in his career while he worked for Balfour Beatty Infrastructure Services Ltd. Jet Aire Services Has Contracted to Carry Out New Refurbishment Works

Jet Aire Services has been contracted to carry out refurbishment works on a flood defence facility near Drax. The Leeds Based drainage company has been contracted as part of work to refurbish an essential flood defence for the area. The work was being carried out on Lendall Pump Station, where a drainage pipe needed upgrade works carrying out. The project took three weeks and was organised in order to coincide with the twice daily low tides of the nearby River Ouse. The technicians working for Jet Aire had to travel within the 1524mm-diameter pipe in order to carry out work to reinforce the ten internal joint seals of the pipe. The work that has been carried out by the Leeds based drainage company, Jet Aire Services, was the second phase a £20,000 maintenance programme that has been planned by Jet Aire. In 2010, an exploration with CCTV took place as a part of a through upgrade that had been planned in partnership with JBA Consulting, a Skipton based company. The wok is being carried out by Jet Aire and others on behalf of the Selby Area Internal Drainage Board. Lendall Pump Station was first constructed in 1969 and the work that has taken place to refurbish this pump is one of 72 schemes of work taking place to improve the flood defence and alleviation systems in Yorkshire since the funding was announced for the work to be carried out by the Environment Agency in 2013. The contracted works being awarded to Jet Aire is a reflection of the companies abilities to carry out the work required. Jet Aire is considered to be one of only a few drainage contractors located in the north of the country that are able to carry out the work on the Lendall Pump project.
