BDC Intelligence

Who built what, for whom — and who just won what.

Every project BDC has reported, read back as a supply chain: the client, the contractor and the architect, each linked to the story it was reported in. Built from 24,146 stories in the BDC archive — every fact citable, nothing bought in.

Source today: the BDC archive. Find a Tender, Contracts Finder and Companies House are on the roadmap. Prices indicative — to be confirmed.

Where BDC Intelligence sits

Between the enterprise platforms and the raw-feed resellers, there was a gap.

The enterprise platforms

Glenigan, Barbour ABI and peers: research teams tracking projects from planning stage, sold to bid teams on annual enterprise terms.

Right for national contractors with bid teams.

BDC Intelligence

The supply chain behind the projects the industry already reads about: who the client was, who built it, who designed it — each cited to the BDC story. Wrapped in the magazine, priced as a subscription, cancel any time.

Built for the firms that win the work under the headlines.

The raw-feed resellers

Alert services that re-send notice feeds with no resolution, no company record and no editorial judgement — you get every notice, and read everything to learn little.

Fine if you have time to be your own analyst.

How it stays honest

Intelligence you put in front of a client has to separate what is known from what is guessed. Every BDC Intelligence row follows the same three rules.

Fact

Cited, or it isn't stated

Every client, contractor and architect shown was reported in a BDC story, and that story is one click away.

Value

Only when the headline says so

A contract value appears only where the story's own headline states the same figure. Otherwise none is shown.

No guesses

Nothing inferred is shown as fact

This record contains no inferred suppliers. If inferred candidate lists are added, they will be labelled INFERRED wherever they appear.

Straight answers

Where does BDC Intelligence data come from?

Today, from BDC's own archive: projects BDC has reported, read back as client, contractor and architect, each linked to the story it came from. Official award notices (Find a Tender, Contracts Finder) and Companies House matching are on the roadmap and not yet connected.

Is this a tender pipeline?

No. It covers work that has been announced and reported, not work that is out to bid, so it will not replace Glenigan or Barbour ABI for pre-tender coverage.

Why do some rows show no value?

A value is shown only when the story's own headline states it. Where the headline gives no figure, none is shown — a wrong number is worse than no number.

My firm worked on a project and is missing. What can I do?

Tell us. Firms that delivered a project can be added to its record, and can hold a verified credit on it through Support a Project.

Firms that delivered a project can sponsor its report, or hold a verified, permanent credit on the BDC record — the same supporter ladder that runs across the magazine, from £295 (indicative — to be confirmed).
