AO Business has announced a new lead for its housebuilder team. Roger Giles, previously Business Development Manager, has been promoted to the leading position of UK Sales Manager, as the B2B division of online electricals retailer AO continues to transform the way appliances are purchased for new housing developments. Prior to joining AO Business, Roger Giles has worked in the contract kitchen market for over 25 years, supplying premium products to both national and regional housebuilders. Most recently, he worked as a Contract Sales Manager at Omega PLC before joining AO Business in March last year. Wayne Paskin, Business Development Manager on the housebuilders team, has also been promoted to a senior position. Being part of a large retail group with its own logistics network has meant that AO Business can provide a solution to the everyday challenges facing housebuilders and offer a fantastic next day delivery and installation proposition. NRLA launches new commercial partnership with leading electricals retailer AO

TODAY the National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA), the UK’s largest membership organisation for private landlords, announces that it has agreed a new commercial partnership with leading online electricals retailer, AO. This new partnership means that AO is now a supplier of a range of Major Domestic Appliances (MDA), including fridge-freezers, dishwashers, ovens, hobs and washing machines, to the NRLA’s membership. Following the launch, NRLA members will be able to access this service using a dedicated telephone line which is open during AO’s office opening hours. This service will be offered to NRLA members through a dedicated Account Manager at AO, who will ensure they can access selected appliances for their rental properties at highly competitive, trade member rates. With over 1.5 million square feet of warehousing and completing premier installations across the UK every week, AO can minimise supply chain disruption, by holding over three months’ worth of stock at any time, meaning the products are always available for next day delivery and installation, offering a fantastic service for members. Robinson joins AO from furniture manufacturer VitrA UK, with experience in the housebuilder market following a Business Manager role specifically for housebuilders at Made Better by Ellis. He previously spent 16 years as a National Sales Manager at bathroom manufacturer Accent Kitchens, where he was responsible for securing group agreements with many regional developers. Prior to joining AO, Holt was at German-based manufacturer Westag and Getalit AG where he spent 5 years as Area Sales Manager for Retail before moving into a new role as Business Development Manager. In the worktop industry, he worked in the developer and housebuilder sectors, and his projects included Royal Air Force redevelopments and various university sites around the country.
