Cambridge energy efficiency specialist, Peter Thom, has been awarded Regional Energy Efficiency Champion of the Year for the Eastern Region in this year’s East of England Energy Efficiency & Retrofit Awards, held at a special awards lunch at the Stansted Hilton Hotel on Wednesday 13th April.
In addition to this, Mr Thom was awarded second place for the Regional Advisor/Assessor of the Year and his company, Green Heat, was named as runner-up Regional Boiler and Heating Installer of the Year.
The East of England Energy Efficiency & Retrofit Awards recognise the companies from the East of England that are addressing fuel poverty and energy inefficiency within their local communities. They provide public recognition for the work the energy efficiency sector is doing in implementing efficiency schemes; and to help encourage best practice within the energy industry as it works to improve UK housing stock.
Mr Thom said: “It’s a great honour to have been recognised in three categories of these awards. It is also encouraging to see energy efficiency given this profile. From the outset, Green Heat has been committed to raising awareness of energy efficiency and cutting carbon emissions for the long term benefit of householders and the protection of our planet.”
