Galliford Try has added to its forward order book with three new bits of business for local authorities in the north of England.

Galliford Try’s joint venture with Capita has secured a three-year extension to its Urban Vision partnership with Salford City Council, worth up to £30m in revenues for each party.

Urban Vision was formed in 2005 to provide technical services to Salford City Council in areas including property, regulatory planning, engineering infrastructure, and design and highway operations planning. Galliford Try’s role in the partnership is to provide highway maintenance services. The framework has now been extended to its full 15-year term which will run until 2020.

Separately, Galliford Try has also been appointed to two new frameworks in the northeast of England.

It has been appointed to a new infrastructure services framework worth up to £1.2bn over four years, for the North East Purchasing Organisation (NEPO) which represents 12 local authorities in the region. Galliford Try has been picked for five lots: infrastructure works above £5m; highways work above £5m; marine and coastal works above £1m; highways structures above £5m; and public realm works above £1m.

Finally, Galliford Try has also been appointed to South Tyneside Council’s civil engineering framework, which is anticipated to generate about £20m of business over its three-year term.

Chief executive Peter Truscott said: “These awards demonstrate the breadth and versatility of the service provided by our Infrastructure division and, in particular, the strength of our Highways and Environmental businesses. We look forward to working with all the partners involved to make a high quality contribution to the infrastructure of the northwest and northeast.”
