Tony Gould, technical director of Groundforce, has been appointed chairman of a key British Standards committee for the trenching and shoring sector.
Mr Gould, who has been with Groundofrce for 30 years, has been named chairman of BSI committee B/514/29, the UK representation on WG9 – the CEN (Comité Européen de Normalisation) working group for standardisation of trench lining and hydraulic shoring systems.
In this role, he will provide UK input for European and international standardisation documents.
BSI head of department Tim Newins said: “A chairman of a BSI committee holds a key position in our standards work and we look forward to a fruitful working relationship during Tony’s term of office.”
