Evans Property Group has announced that in partnership with the University of York they have secured a series of lettings located at Kimberlow Hill Retail Park at Kimberlow Rise near to the University of York Heslington East Campus. these lettings are a part of plans to develop this campus and provide a new Medical Centre, retail parade and convenience store in order to serve the growing campus needs as well as offering new facilities for the local community.

The Kimberlow Hill Retail Park is located in the suburb of Heslington, in the east of York and on the edge of the University campus. The retail element of the of this new leasing is expected to be completed at some point this month and it is predicted that the space will be open in early 2018. The new Medical Centre will be run by Unity Health and is also expected to open in March 2018, this facility extends 20,000 sq. ft. and will then attract around 75,000 visitors each year. This leasing will also lead to the creation of a 4,500 sq. ft. convenience store that will be operating as a NISA Local, there will also be a lineup of retailers open at the retail park including Subway and Greggs.

The close partnership that has been formed between Evans and the University of York has already led to the creation of three award-winning student residences and facilities which have created 2000 beds, the result of £100 million of investment. The Heslington East area of York has witnessed a significant growth in recent years, with the development of new academic and residential space as well as a new sports village with a swimming pool, all-weather pitches, outdoor cycle track and velodrome as well as a fitness suite and studios.
