Lustalux, the window film and signage experts have recently revealed their completed work on the new Boat Shed, which is a regeneration project that has taken place in Salford Quays. The Boat Shed project property developers were Urban Splash and appointed Lustalux while creating a space that aims to stay ahead of the market and going above and beyond expectations while also looking to create a range of incredible spaces that come together to form fantastic buildings.

Lustalux is a Lancashire-based team and were hired in order to bring together the architect’s vision to life with the use of hand painted wall signage as well as Contra-Vision window film on the exterior of the Salford Quays building. The window film and signage experts also worked on the project to install totem signage that can be found throughout the premises. Richard Lancaster is a Director at Lustalux and has said that is has been a great opportunity for the company to display a range of different skills. The company worked with an urban commercial artist and mural painter in order to create the outlines of the giant numbers on the sides of the buildings then used exterior grade paint in order to fill in the outlines.

Previously the building was a tired 1990s style red brick facade building. Following the Boat Shed development now has flexible working spaces and has already proved to be popular, with several tenants already secured including Lupo, Environmental Services Design, Care UK, Training Room and Consumer Reclaim. The development has been designed by R2 Architecture and the director has praised the Lustalux team for being proactive and easy to work with during this project. Lustalux have been brilliant on this development and helped to bring the designs for the Boat Shed to life. Hopefully, the work by Lustalux at Salford Quays will lead to further projects in the future.
