Saint-Gobain Weber has released a new coating for building protection. Weberend Protect by the company has been described as the perfect solutions, offering invisible protection for external renders. The product delivers a hydrophobic coating can protect buildings from most types of surface contamination such as water, oil, and graffiti. By protecting against the absorption of surface contamination, Weberend Protect also has the benefit of reducing the risk of algae, moss, lichen and mould.
The newly released product is easily applied with a roller, brush or spray. This protective coating keeps the building exterior clean and dry, offering permanent protection against the elements while also allowing the substrate underneath to breathe and making sure that the façade of the building looks its best for as long as possible.
Weberend protect protects the building and makes sure that dirt, stains and a range of other atmospheric contaminants that could damage the facade and deteriorate the appearance of the building cannot adhere to the surface. By using this product, or using a protective barrier, the substrate lifespan increases, which can then cut down building maintenance costs. Weberend Protect is a UV resistant, non-flammable and non-toxic product that is an ideal protection solution for buildings that are at risk of high weather exposure where the substrates may often be damp. One example of this type of location is coastal areas.
The colourless protection doesn’t stain, so the building will keep its intended appearance and colour after application, and can be put on top of external renders, decorative finishes, masonry and concrete substrates. When working on newbuilds, refurbishment, retrofit projects and historic buildings, Weberend protect is a great hydrophobic protection solution. The product can also be used on the ground and on horizontal surfaces that experience high levels of foot traffic and can prevent the adherence of chewing gum.
