Mace subsidiary Como has been contracted by Stanhope and Mitsui Fudosan to fit out the 24 floors of One Angel Court in the City of London.
Como has begun work on the installation of new suspended and plasterboard ceilings and new raised access floors across the 28,000 m2 of office space. Services include life safety and air conditioning systems as well as installing more than 5,000 separate light fittings and more than 70km of cabling.
Mace was appointed construction manager for the project in 2014 to deliver the redevelopment of the 1970s office building, which has included stripping back the octagonal tower to its core, with the building then reclad with floor to ceiling glazing.
Como director Trevor Bacon said: “This is a fantastic win for Como and allows us to build on our relationship with Stanhope, as well as the great work Mace is already doing at One Angel Court. I’m delighted we’re working on such a highly anticipated development.”
