RIBA announces 2016 Royal Gold Medal events featuring Dame Zaha Hadid, Sir Peter Cook, Grayson Perry and Kevin McCloud

For the first time ever, the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) is putting together a packed programme of special events, keynote addresses and master classes, to recognise the extraordinary talent rewarded with the 2016 Royal Gold Medal and RIBA fellowships.

The 2016 Royal Gold Medal week event programme, sponsored by Italian furniture manufacturer Arper, features:

Monday 1 February 2016

Keynote address by Sir Peter Cook, founder of Archigram.

Presentation of the 2016 RIBA International and Honorary Fellowships.

Master classes, 10am-4.30pm, with RIBA Honorary and International Fellows:

  • Bjarke Ingels, architect, BIG
  • Grayson Perry CBE, artist
  • Martha Thorne, Executive Director, The Pritzker Prize and Dean of IE School of Architecture and Design, Madrid  
  • Yvonne Farrell, architect, Grafton Architects
