Belvoir is celebrating the 20 year milestone since its very first franchise owner, Andy Campbell of Belvoir Moray.

The award winning UK lettings and estate agent’s Managing Director, Dorian Gonsalves, said it is a great achievement for Campbell to be celebrating 20 years in the company.

Campbell was the first franchise owner of the company which launched in July 1996 and Gonsalves paid tribute to him: “It is fabulous that our very first franchise owner is still in business after 20 years, and is still as passionate and enthusiastic about the business as he was on the day that he first opened.”

Gonsalves added that the industry and business has changed considerably since it first started operating and that Campbell’s dedication to clients has ensured that he has been able to evolve and adapt to the new surroundings at the Elgin franchise, adding that he wishes Campbell success for the next 20 years.

Campbell recalled that when he began the Belvoir Moray franchise he had just retired from the RAF and built the business up from scratch.

At first, he worked from a spare room in his own home with just a computer, desk, chair and filing cabinet; a far cry from the current office site which is one of Moray’s largest.

Campbell commented: “We now have five full-time employees and one part-time member of staff, so we are quite a large team, and they are all fantastic. Many of the staff have been with me for years, including my office manager Lynn Roger, who has worked here for 15 years.”

He said that he has seen many changes during his 20 years in the business, in particular with the introduction of internet advertising, new regulations and the birth of social media, adding that he knows the importance of keeping pace with change and embracing the new technology.
