Study Inn celebrates exceptional GSLI survey results and two award nominations

Study Inn, the luxury student accommodation owner, developer, and operator are delighted to share its excellent results in the latest Global Student Living survey, with over 65,000 student responses from around the globe – giving some insight into what makes the best student accommodation. Student accommodation statistics Study Inn Group’s high specification product and premium hospitality service have paved the way for it to reach 80% overall positive rating on the latest survey, far outperforming benchmarks. Similarly, it achieved 85% positive rating for Accommodation condition and quality, significantly higher than all other benchmarks. Study Inn’s hotel-like services, which sees a dedicated housekeeping team regularly clean all rooms and communal areas, remove all waste bins, and provide students with fresh linen and towels at no additional cost, supported the company achieve an excellent 90% positive rating for Cleaning, much higher than all benchmarks. The group has focused on student wellbeing since its inception in 2009, providing guests with fully equipped gyms and yoga studios, as well as state-of-the-art wellness spas with saunas, steam rooms and hot beds – the first ever seen in the sector. 65% of Study Inn resident students said their accommodation had a positive impact on their wellbeing, higher than all average benchmarks. Similarly, availability of communal space and sports facilities scored 86% and 80% respectively, both outperforming all benchmarks by more than 10% points.  Study Inn’s strong scores mean it has been shortlisted for two Global Student Living Awards: Best Small Operator UK & Ireland Best Student Wellbeing UK & Ireland Commenting on the survey results, Matt Shakespeare, Study Inn’s Managing Director of Operations said: “We are delighted with the results our portfolio has achieved in the latest survey, and for being shortlisted for two awards. The Global Student Living Awards are so prestigious and highly sought after because there are no written nominations or expert judges – the awards are based 100% on direct student feedback. STUDY INN ADDS SECOND NOTTINGHAM PROPERTY TO ITS GROWING PORTFOLIO

Study Inn Group, the high-quality luxury student accommodation owner, developer, and operator is set to deliver a 270-bed purpose-built Study Inn in Nottingham, its second property in the city. Triumph House is conveniently located adjacent to the University of Nottingham’s Jubilee campus. The £35million brand-new scheme will offer a mixture of luxurious studios and en-suite serviced apartment rooms. Construction of the 5-storey ground up new build is in progress with opening scheduled for the next academic year. Facilities will follow the same enhanced and unparalleled specification as Study Inn’s 2nd generation of properties, including 24×7 onsite management, room cleaning and linen services, superfast Wi-Fi, and state-of-the-art communal facilities such as study space, wellness spa, sauna, steam room, hot beds, gym, yoga studio, games room, lounge, big screen cinema room, bicycle parking, and include private landscaped gardens. Commenting on the new development, Jack Jefferson, acquisitions director at Study Inn Group, said: Having opened 288 rooms in Talbot St, adjacent to Nottingham Trent University in 2020, this new development offers the opportunity to open a similar number of rooms adjacent to the University of Nottingham and so we are very pleased with the acquisition and the potential to continue to work with both universities in these excellent locations. This will be the seventh property in our second portfolio of luxury Study Inns. We had the ability and resources to close the acquisition quickly and have appetite for further acquisitions in good locations in UK cities.” Following the opening of Walnut Gardens in Exeter in September 2021, Study Inn is now in construction phase in Leicester, Leeds and Nottingham, which will see the Group’s 2nd Portfolio grow to circa 1,800 rooms. All Study Inn’s operating properties across Bristol, Loughborough, Nottingham, and Exeter are trading at 100% occupancy with strong rental growth and waiting lists.

Simon brings over thirty years’ residential and student sector experience in hands-on delivery of development projects specialising in overall commercial management, procurement, contractual arrangements, and handover to operating teams. Commenting on the appointment, Kieran Leahy, director at Study Inn, said: “We created the Study Inn platform to deliver secure asset backed investments with strong and resilient income streams. STUDY INN PARTNERS WITH STUDENT MINDS TO BOOST STUDENT MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT

Study Inn Group, the luxury hotel-style student accommodation owner, developer, and operator, has joined forces with the UK’s student mental health charity, Student Minds, to enhance student mental health support across its centres. The partnership will see Study Inn’s residents access mental health and wellbeing resources and engagement activities. The Group will also invest in Student Minds’ Student Mental Health in Accommodation Settings training course for its Guest Relations and Centre Managers team, as well as fundraising campaigns. Furthermore, Study Inn is currently recruiting for a Student Experience Manager role which will focus on developing and delivering initiatives and strategies to further boost its resident students’ experience. Study Inn Group has focused on resident wellbeing since its inception in 2009 and its latest generation of properties re-affirm the Group’s deep-rooted focus on student wellbeing and life experience. The Group’s state-of-the-art communal facilities include wellness spa; sauna and steam room; hot beds; gym and yoga studio; cinema room; pool and table tennis, which contribute to students’ wellbeing and facilitate interaction amongst residents.
