Dedicated to supporting independent kitchen specialists, the Kitchen Bathroom Buying Group (KBBG) has offered its backing to the newly established Kitchen Education Trust (TKET) as it seeks to provide quality education and scholarships to develop the kitchen industry.
The KBBG is working with TKET to raise awareness of the foundation degree course in kitchen design, which is now in its second year at Bucks New University. TKET has recently been formed to support the university in promoting the course and providing student scholarships. The course provides a technically focused and knowledge based programme that is aimed at advancing skills and improving career prospects of those in the kitchen industry.
Craig Matson, chairman of TKET, said: “The KBBG is well placed to support TKET through their first class connections with independent kitchen specialists and manufacturers, and we are most grateful for the help that the KBBG can offer the trust in creating greater awareness and providing potential avenues for sponsorship.”
Bill Miller, KBBG’s managing director, said: “We are eager to support the industry wherever we can. TKET provides valuable and accessible education to those looking to join the world of kitchen specialist retailing. The foundation degree course at Bucks New University is an exceptional start for the industry to be regarded as professional, career anddesign oriented. There is no doubt that improving education for the industry will raise the bar for kitchen designers and the industry as a whole.”
