R Collard Stand Proud in the South

This article is designed to provide more information about waste management company R Collard, whose members at present are very pleased to have celebrated the company’s 21st year in existence and are looking forward to a prosperous and busy new year. Having recently revealed that they will pave the way for the future of recycling by opening a metal recycling plant in Wokingham, R Collard have consistently shown themselves to be incredibly productive and committed to providing excellent waste disposal services for company clients and contractors operating in the southern counties of the United Kingdom. Indeed, the high turnout of material recycling that the company prides itself with being able to manage successfully is indicative of how hard its members work and a testament to the reason why R Collard is viewed as one of the best waste management initiatives operating all around the South. Last year saw it dealing with up to a staggering amount of waste product that exceeded the 365 tonnage mark and is indicative of the amount of waste product that could potentially be hazardous to the environment when it is thrown away or dumped in a land fill zone. But R Collard are experts in the management of waste product and, with their waste wash base and a number of other high-tech machinery that they have invested in over the years, were able to convert 97.5 per cent of this wastage into either recycled materials or for the recovery of energy. With this in mind, it is evident that the company prioritizes sustainability and commitment towards saving as much waste disposal as possible. And with the South of England being a place where a large amount of building and construction is taking place and thus producing a considerable amount of wastage, it is evident that there needs to be a sustainable way of disposing of the waste product. Clearly, recycling it and reusing the materials for the acquisition of more energy is the way forward to ensuring a sustainable future which companies like R Collard are helping to ensure.

“Live-Learn” Base to be Expected in Liverpool

The city of Liverpool council has approved the building and construction of a new “live-learn” base that will be guaranteed to be the new center hub for learning and state-of-the-art education once it is set up. This particular building will be set up at the LIC (also known as the Liverpool International College) and has been commissioned to be constructed by CPMG Architects, a well-respected architectural firm who have a penchant for these kinds of ambitious and expensive projects. A joint initiative that is run between the University of Liverpool in collaboration with Kaplan, the new facility will comprise of a high-tech area of 47,000 square feet and is set to also have no less than 13 storeys. These will be able to provide students and those using the facilities enough space and comfort to study and socialize in order to ensure their wellbeing and that they use all of the features of the project to their maximum potential. Thanks to this project, members of CPMG Architects are confident that this new structure will be of a huge benefit to the education sector of the city of Liverpool and will encourage more and more people to consider choosing Liverpool as a place of study. The famous Knowledge Quarter of the city that is one of the largest and best education areas along the shores of the Mersey will also be enhanced through this innovation and Hugh Avison of CPMG Architects is confident that the scheme itself will be a success for all involved. Through this, it is evident that the Grove Street initiative will also prove to be an aesthetic venture, since the building’s actual structure will help to enhance the already stunning skyline panorama of the city. Set to be ready to open its doors by 2019, there is a while yet to wait but well worth waiting considering the ambition of the project.

Ever Seen A Hidden House in London?

The well-respected firm of architects LTS Architects has yet again proved itself to be a beacon in architectural innovation with its new set of property designs that push the boundaries of what can be achieved even wider in the world of design that ever before. Their new ambitious creation is based in the bustling Knightsbridge area of the city of London and is known as the “hidden house” concept. The premise of these particular homes is that the exterior of the structure might not be able to be seen by ordinary passers-by and pedestrians, but the inside of the home is spacious and luxuriously set up. So what might at first resemble a tiny door in the wall can actually have an inside that is out of this world  in terms of innovation and design: it is as if Alice had climbed through the tiny door and into the new exciting world of Wonderland. Using such forms of building and construction materials as glazed roofing materials, laminated plywood structures that hold the property firmly together. Meanwhile, special transparent materials within the property allow plenty of natural light to shower those inside with the beautiful British weather (or lack of) and the property’s “L” shaped structure means that it is not only spacious but also interestingly laid out and aesthetically pleasing. Through this, it is clear that LTS Architects chief Greg Shannon has overseen a very ambitious project that is deceptively small to all who pass it, but luxurious to whoever actually goes inside and crosses the threshold. Glass flooring and other implementations such as the actual uncluttered location of the sitting areas and mezzanine, as much light as possible will be let into this property and it is clear that both manufacturers and owners can consider themselves proud to have delivered on what is a wholly ambitious and innovative project.
