McLaren will convert the building into a 270 bedroomed boutique hotel for developer Crosstree Real Estate Partners.

The hotel, designed by ORMS, will be formed through extensive internal and external renovation. Three new floors will be added on top of the existing structure in the form of a steel frame box. The building’s separated west stair core will also be removed to open up a new north-south route.

The building is on the main Euston Road, opposite St Pancras International railway station, making it logistically challenging.

McLaren Construction managing director Phil Pringle said: “This is the first contract McLaren Construction has secured with Crosstree Real Estate Partners. We are thrilled to be a part of this exciting project and look forward to increasing our position in the ‘high end’ hotel sector and bringing our expertise to deliver this quality boutique hotel.”
